One of 150 numbered copies on Arches. A monument, the most influential book of modern age, with a sturdy contemporary binding. A very readable quarto book. Nice modernist bookplate of Léon Gillain (1910-1977), an engineer, with a photo of a bookcase. Gillain’s modest signature in pencil on the title page. This is an unusual copy: one sheet has been included twice in the binding: p. 1/2 and 7/8 (no pages missing)! Slocum A17.
